INTERESTED? SCROLL ON!

At Crosscurrent Counseling, we work at the meeting point of multiple currents—identity, relationship, history, and hope. Therapy here is collaborative, values‑centered, and grounded in living‑systems thinking: what happens between us matters, context matters, and change doesn’t require fixing who you are.

What We Do

services

Who we work with:

Relationships

When partners process the world differently, conflict often isn’t about effort or care—it’s about mismatched nervous systems, communication styles, and unspoken expectations. I support couples in slowing down, building shared language, and strengthening partnership without blame.

NEURODIVERGENT INDIVIDUALS AND COUPLES (13+)

You may be autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, highly sensitive, or questioning labels altogether. You might be navigating burnout, masking fatigue, sensory overwhelm, identity development, or late‑diagnosis grief. Our work centers self‑trust, regulation, and meaning‑making—without trying to make you “more normal.”

Grief, Loss & Life Transitions

Grief isn’t only about death. It can arrive through diagnosis, relationship change, migration, estrangement, or becoming someone new. Therapy can be a place to honor what was, tend what is, and make room for what’s emerging.

I offer care that acknowledges systemic oppression, intergenerational context, and cultural resilience. We name power dynamics explicitly and work toward healing that is both personal and relational.

BIPOC/MULTIRACIAL/PEOPLE OF THE GLOBAL MAJORITY

Crosscurrent Counseling uses a tiered rate structure designed to support accessibility to mental health services and promote reciprocity.  Clients are invited to self-select a rate tier based on their current financial situation, access to resources, and lived experience of systemic advantage or oppression. For support with tier selection, use this guide

FEES & INSURANCE

Crosscurrent Counseling is a private-pay practice. Superbills are available upon request for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement. Please note it is your responsibility to verify out-of-network benefits.

REDISTRIBUTION / FULL FEE

SOLIDARITY / SUPPORTED
For clients with limited financial flexibility, debt burdens, or caregiving responsibilities who are still able to contribute to the practice's shared sustainability. In-person and telehealth appointments are available at this tier.

REDUCED FEE / SLIDING SCALE

Individual therapy at Crosscurrent Counseling is a space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening—especially when old ways of coping no longer fit, or when change feels necessary but unclear.

People often come to individual therapy when they’re navigating:
  • Neurodivergent identity, late diagnosis, or burnout
  • Grief, loss, or life transitions
  • Questions of identity, belonging, or direction
  • Longstanding patterns that feel stuck or exhausting

Our work focuses on understanding how you adapted, what shaped you, and what you want to carry forward. Therapy here is collaborative and paced, grounded in your values and lived experience—not about fixing who you are, but supporting change that feels sustainable and true.

For people at meaningful
crossroads in their lives.

Individual Therapy

SERVICES

For relationships navigating difference, transition, or repair.

Couples Therapy

Relational therapy supports couples and partners who find themselves at a crossroads—when communication feels strained, trust has been disrupted, or differences feel harder to bridge.

I work especially with mixed-neurotype couples, where partners may process the world differently and feel caught in cycles of misunderstanding, shutdown, or burnout. Often, conflict isn’t about care or commitment—it’s about mismatched nervous systems, expectations, and unspoken needs.

In relational therapy, we:
  • Slow down reactive patterns
  • Build shared language and understanding
  • Strengthen fairness, repair, and emotional safety

Explore how history, stress, and context shape the relationship

The goal isn’t perfection or sameness, but greater clarity, connection, and choice—so the relationship can move forward with intention, whether that means repair, redefinition, or discernment.

Subheading

Therapy at Crosscurrent Counseling may not be the right fit if:

You’re looking for quick fixes & advice

This work is relational and exploratory rather than prescriptive or short-term problem solving.

You want highly structured, skills-only, or manualized treatment.

While we may integrate tools and practices, this work is not primarily worksheet-driven or protocol-only.

You are in crisis and seeking inpatient or intensive emergency services.

We do not provide emergency, inpatient, or 24/7 crisis care. If you are in immediate danger, more immediate support will be important.

You’re not open to reflecting on personal patterns, relationship dynamics, or systems.

This work often involves looking at family dynamics, intergenerational patterns, identity, and context—not just individual symptoms.

You are seeking to change or “fix” a partner without participating yourself.

In couples work and family work, we support shared responsibility, mutual accountability, and collaborative repair between participants.

You are not open to neurodivergent-affirming or SYSTEMS- ATTUNED CARE

My practice centers respect for neurodivergent identities, lived experience, and the impact of systemic forces on mental health.
